Tami Grammer

About
Tami Grammer started her public safety dispatcher career in 1997 with the Mount Shasta City Police and Fire Departments. She worked for the Hayward Police and Fire Departments for two years prior to accepting her current position as a PSD II for the Shasta Area Safety Communications Agency (SHASCOM), in 2004. Tami was promoted to an acting supervisor in 2015.

For the last 12 years, Tami has served as a communications training officer working one-on-one with her trainees. She has implemented interactive instructional techniques providing her trainees with the greatest opportunity for success. Many of the other communications training officers at SHASCOM have adopted some of her tools and techniques. During her certification as a master instructor, Tami created a course focusing on a positive approach to the challenges of training.

Tami is part of a team working with the training and operations managers at SHASCOM to improve the current training program. She is also on a committee working on rewriting her agencies current Policies and Procedures into Standard Operating Procedures.
