ABOUT
Mr. Woodford retired in 2007 and returned to work as a Deputy Commissioner for the Board of Parole hearings where he conducted Parole Revocation Hearings as a Deputy Commissioner for the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, Board of Parole Hearings Division. Mr. Woodford left the Parole Hearings Division in 2013 to pursue a new career as a PREA Auditor for the PREA Resource Center in partnership with the Department of Justice. Mr. Woodford was certified as a PREA Auditor for Adult Corrections in 2014 and has completed 41 PREA audits, 27 county jail facilities, 11 community corrections facilities and 3 prison facilities. 6 of the facilities mentioned were audited as part of the PREA Resource Center Field Training Program (2 prison facility and 6 jail facilities).
During the Field Training Program, Eric served as either the Lead Field Training Auditor or the Backup Field Training auditor. As Lead Auditor, he supervised the field training of between six and eight PREA Audit Trainees during a week-long training program at selected prisons, jails and community corrections facilities throughout the nation. As Backup Auditor, he assisted the Lead Auditor with the training program and provided follow-up directions to the trainees. He also provided the facility which hosted the field training program with training and technical assistance (TTA) for 90-days following the completion of the Field Training Program.
