ABOUT
Edward Colson has over 10 years of emergency management and emergency communications experience after a career as a helicopter pilot. He started his career as a dispatcher with American Medical Response in Portland and then as a Communication Specialist with Life Flight Network. He then transferred over to Oregon Health Sciences University hospital and became part of the Regional Hospital team until May 2019. In that role, he coordinated the EMS and Hospital response in the Portland metro area to disasters and mass casualty incidents in addition to handling emergency transfers of patients to the emergency room.

Edward is also the owner of Ready Northwest Emergency Management, a consulting firm that assists businesses and government agencies in the creation, development, and updating of emergency management plans, training and exercises, and business continuity planning. He has experience in healthcare, private sector, and non-profit emergency management.

EDUCATION
Edward possesses a degree in Emergency Management and is a Senior Fellow at the Homeland Security, Emergency Management Center of Excellence Institute. He is also trained in the Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) to be able to provide exercises to government agencies.
