Debra Konstantakos is a 33 – year law enforcement veteran who began her 911 dispatch career with the Montclair Police Department in 1983. In 1991, she resigned from the Montclair Police Department to accept a promotional position as a dispatch supervisor for the Chino Police Department. During her 25 – year career at the Chino Police Department, Debra contributed to the development of a highly skilled and professional communications unit serving the Chino Police Department officers and surrounding community. Debra was a Tactical Dispatcher for the Chino Police SWAT Team. Additionally, Debra served as a department instructor for both CLETS (California Law Enforcement Telecommunications System) and the Citizens Academy. Debra holds certifications for basic, intermediate, and advanced Dispatch. She holds certificates to train training officers, instruct Telecommunications Law Enforcement Systems, Terrorism Awareness, and supervisor courses.

Debra has made significant contributions to the law enforcement profession and received a variety of awards throughout her career. She serves as an instructor for Rio Hondo Community College and Golden West Community College. She also instructs for a private company “21 CLETS , LLC ”.

She serves as a coordinator at the colleges for the Basic Public Safety Dispatcher academy and a co-coordinator for Civilian and Dispatch Supervisor courses.

After 33 years of law enforcement service, Debra retired from the Chino Police Department in December of 2016. Debra continues to teach California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certified courses for dispatchers and police officers. She continues to instruct classes, including the Basic 120-hour Dispatch Public Safety Basic Academy, the Communication Training Officer course, the Civilian Supervisor course, the Dispatch Supervisory course, Terrorism Awareness for Dispatchers course, and Crisis Intervention Team Training.

Debra and her husband enjoy doting on their rescues, fires on the beach at sunset and time with their grandchildren.
