ABOUT

Originating from Southern California, Cassie Sexton possesses an extensive background in Law Enforcement, with the majority of her career dedicated to serving in the 9-1-1 Center. She began her career at the Seal Beach Police Department, initially working in the Traffic Division and later transitioning to the Detention Center. Afterwards, she assumed the role of a 9-1-1 Dispatcher for West Cities Communications, serving the cities of Cypress, Los Alamitos, Seal Beach, and the Orange County Park Rangers.

Concluding her career with the city of Newport Beach Police Department, she dedicated the majority of her service years to this agency. Throughout her tenure as a 9-1-1 dispatcher, Cassie played pivotal roles, including serving as a Communications Training Officer (CTO), Communications Officer in Charge (COIC), and Peer Support Team Member. Her contributions included acquiring numerous specialty training certifications.

Presently, she holds the position of Customer Success Executive at Mindbase, where her primary focus revolves around proactive wellness initiatives and resource provision for first responders through technological means. Cassie’s desire for assisting first responders is deeply rooted in her personal journey of healing from Post-Traumatic Stress (PTS) through wellness practices, meditation, and recovery. Notably, she continues to actively contribute to the Orange County Regional Peer Support Team, is a member of the North Carolina NENA Peer Support Team, and holds a position on the APCO International Health and Wellness Committee.
