Bill Massey
ABOUT
Bill has been the lead instructor and coordinator for an intensive law enforcement leadership program for the last 17 year. Bill also has instructed on topics relating to Racial Profiling, and Officer Involved Shooting Investigations. Bill has been the primary training manager for the San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office for the last eight years. Bill belongs to several associations, including the California District Attorney Investigators Association, Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (ATAP), San Mateo County Threat Assessment Advisory Team, San Mateo County Training Manager’s Association, ASIS (Corporate Security Association), and 8-Ball Association (Law Enforcement Liaison Association with Private Security Partners).
EDUCATION
Bill holds a Master of Arts Degree in Organizational Leadership where he graduated with honors, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice Management. Bill has attended the POST Executive/ Management Course, the Los Angeles Police Department Leadership Program (formerly West Point Leadership), Role of the Police Chief courses, and Bill currently holds a POST Supervisory Certificate.

Bill received the San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office DA Inspector of the Year Award in 2011, the Peninsula Council of Lion’s Club Community Service and Heroism Awards (2011, 2000, and 1999), Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Club Police Officer of the Year Award in 2011 and 2004, Menlo Park Police Department Community Service Award in 2000, Menlo Park Police Department Best Arrest of the Year Award in 1998, recipient of the “CVC 10851” Award on two occasions for recovering stolen vehicles, and Top Academic Award from the South Bay Regional Public Safety Training Consortium in 1995.
